dir. Noble Fox
This is a story of one of Mali’s musical sons, Afel Bocoum, who has a very special connection with the Niger river.
Not only does Afel believe his ancestors dwell within the great river but he also acknowledges it as the lifeline and backbone of Mali.
However the river is dying, threatening a culture and way of life. Come with us as he takes us on a poetic and musical journey as he seeks information from the elders, informs and educates the ‘youngers’ and spreads his message through song.
